The 90th Journal Service was a spectacular evening. Read more about it in the Queens Gazette (page 1, page 2). The exhibition, featuring our nonagenarian honorees as well as excerpts from our archives, will be continue to be on display through the summer and fall. Viewing is by appointment only. Please call the office for more information.

This past Sunday, we proudly marched in the Celebrate Israel Parade (and while we marched, there was no rain!).

ACI at Citifield for Mets-Celebrate-Israel (and surprise Syndegaard) night.

We're marching in the Israel Parade - SUNDAY, JUNE 5!!

This year, ACI will have a contingent formally marching in the Celebrate Israel Parade!  There will be round-trip bus transportation from ACI to the parade.  We need to know who will be attending, to arrange the transportation, etc. Be a part of this exciting day -- having fun, and supporting Israel!

Rabbi Pearl donating blood

Thank you to everyone who donated food items to the Passover food drive, and who donated blood or helped out at the ACI blood drive.   Once again, ACI-ers and friends were so very generous in giving of themselves, and doing mitzvot.  We had a very successful food drive and a very successful blood drive - all of which enhanced the lives of our fellow New Yorkers.

As we read in the Haggadah...

"Kol dichfin yetei v'yeichal, kol ditzrich yetei v'yifsach.

Let all who are hungry come and eat, let all who are in need come and celebrate Passover."

Dear Friend of ACI,

Four score and ten (90) years ago, our forefathers brought forth this Synagogue. Their vision created a Conservative House of Worship: the Astoria Center of Israel. We are their beneficiaries.

Join us for our Purim party on Sunday, March 20. Get the details here, or join our facebook event

We'll be continuing the celebration with a very merry Megillah reading on the night of Purim - Wednesday, March 23, at 6:30pm - with Purim fun, music and singing, and of course hamantaschen! Come in costume (if you dare!) and have a jolly time!

The funeral for Deena Pearl, z"l, will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, in Israel.  Our thoughts and prayers are with Rabbi Pearl and his family at this difficult time.

Rabbi Pearl will be observing shiva at his home at on Thursday, Friday (until 1pm), Saturday night (after 7pm), Sunday, and Monday. Ma'ariv will be at 7:00pm on Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Please call the synagogue or contact for the address.

May the family be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
