DESCRIPTION:Shabbat Dinner and Scholar-in-Residence\n\n \n\nAstoria Center of Israel (ACI) is proud to partner with the Israel Policy Forum to connect young adults in Western Queens and deepen their knowledge of Israel. Join us for a catered Shabbat dinner followed by a lecture from Alex Lederman of the Israel Policy Forum\, “19 Months of Upheaval: Israel’s Challenges in a Post-October 7 Era.” The program is recommended for young and emerging adults ages 21-45\, although anyone is welcome to attend.\n\n \n\nGuest Speaker: Alex Lederman\nAlex Lederman is Israel Policy Forum’s Senior Policy and Communications Associate\, based in New York. In this role\, Alex contributes to Israel Policy Forum’s policy research\, writes analytical articles and explainers on policy developments\, and briefs audiences across North America. Alex’s analysis has been featured in CNN\, TIME Magazine\, The Hill\, The Forward\, War on the Rocks\, and other outlets. He previously served as an intern at the U.S. embassy in Muscat\, Oman. He is a graduate of Yale University\, where he studied Near Eastern languages and civilizations with a focus on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.\n\n \n\nAbout the Israel Policy Forum (IPF):\n\n \n\nIsrael Policy Forum’s mission is to build support for a secure\, Jewish\, democratic Israel through a viable resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
