David Hazan, Coordinator and Kitah Gimmel

Moreh David has a Masters in Jewish History and Comparative Literature from Bar Ilan University. He has over 15 years experience teaching elementary and middle school students, including students with learning disabilities, was the director of the Hebrew and Jewish Studies Department at the Austin Jewish Academy, and has worked training, supporting, and supervising educators. David is currently the coordinator for the Hebrew and Jewish Studies program at Solomon Schechter in Queens.

Esther Finzi, Kitah Aleph

Morah Esther has over 13 years of teaching experience in a variety of Hebrew schools, has been teaching part time at the Kaplan School at Sutton Place Synagogue since 2014, has experience working with students with IEPs, works as a private tutor, and is a native speaker.

Shana Fruchter, Kitah Bet

Morah Shana has 16 years of Hebrew school experience. She has taught students from Pre-K through 6th grade. She has taught in Roslyn, Upper East Side, Upstate New York , Forest Hills, and Plainview. Shana enjoys teaching Hebrew , writing, reading, prayers, holidays, and Jewish culture. Learning is one of the most important Jewish Values and she is very passionate in sharing her knowledge with her students in a fun, creative, and engaging way. Shana is also a music therapist and uses music to help students develop and increase the skills they are working on. She loves to bring music into hebrew schools as well! During her free time, she loves to travel, cook, and spend time with her family.

Karen Feit, Tot Shabbat

Morah Karen has been our Tot-Shabbat leader at ACI since 2017, has extensive experience leading Junior Congregation services, teaching B’nai mitzvah lessons, and working as a Jewish educator for grades 5 through high school.
