Especially in light of the turbulent events involving Jewish people near and far, we launch this year’s Kol Nidre appeal with the goal of repeating last year’s successes and expanding our offerings to the Jewish community in Western Queens. Your generosity helps sustain and enhance our vibrant community. ACI is not only a spiritual sanctuary for all of us, but also a physical space that depends on our collective financial support and responsible management.
While membership dues cover some operational costs, it is the generosity from our Kol Nidre Appeal that truly powers our vision and innovation. This vital support ensures that ACI remains the beloved and dynamic synagogue that we cherish.
Our community is built on a strong foundation of values that guide us in providing exceptional programming for community members of all ages. From our engaging religious services to our dynamic educational initiatives, cultural events, and social activities, we have created a space that fosters growth, connection, and celebration. Generous Kol Nidre contributions in the past allowed us to make significant improvements to our physical space, such as the installation of new air-conditioning units for our main sanctuary. We must continue to maintain and improve our Center.

However, a more impactful way of making donations to ACI is by gifting securities (such as stocks or shares in a mutual fund) that have appreciated in value. When you support ACI by making a gift of appreciated stock, there may be significant tax advantages that could benefit both the donor and the charity.* ACI now has a charitable brokerage account with Vanguard which was set up for just that purpose.
